2008 This was the year I visited Boston and New York in the States, Montpellier, the Viaduc Millau, the Camargue, Saint Guilhem-le-Désert, Nîmes, Palavas and La Grande Motte in France, London, Hertfordshire, Kent, Essex, Dorset, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Nottingham, York, Lindisfarne, Durham, and Devon in England, The Western Isles, Skye, the Highlands, Sutherland, Moray, the Cairngorms, Mid Lothian and Edinburgh in Scotland and Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai in China.
The next morning we had to get up fairly early to catch our plane to Shanghai. Here we were going to meet up with another good friend, Anna, who lives there, and stay at her apartment. Continue reading

Undoubtedly the greatest excitement during my last two weeks in London was provided when Kate and Bret successfully purchased a house in Queens Park. With the grandies growing fast, the need for a garden and more space were becoming more and more important. It was the first time on our wonderful holiday when we weren’t in a rush to achieve a certain amount in a day so we took it easy for the morning, unpacked everything, sorted through the things we’d acquired and got ourselves into some semblance of order for our return home in three days’ time.
